Tons of pictures with accompanying text of past Chattanooga Meets can be found at: http://home.chattanooga.net/~soule/mt06/  Information about the 2010 Meet can be found below.  Last year's meet was a blast and this year's should be just as much fun, if not more! Schedule of events for the 2010 Chattanooga Meet:

For Directions to Chattanooga, Soddy-Daisy, TN, and Soules', send an email to soule@chattanooga.net

Note - Please complete the registration below if you plan to attend the Chattanooga Meet. *We need to know how many to expect for the Friday night dinner and the Sunday evening cookout.*

We would also like to know what make and model car you plan to bring to the Meet. Email: soule@chattanooga.net

Friday - Afternoon and Early Evening - May 28th- Gathering at the Soules' residence, placement of vehicles on the display field, and preliminary tour of Robert's garage and cars.

Friday Evening Dinner, We will meet for an informal hamburger/hot dog cookout at 7:00 pm at the Soules'.  During dinner, guests will be treated to an old style radio broadcast with a live piano concert via the Soules' 1923 Weber Duo-Art Reproducing Player Piano and period Chrysler, Packard, and other period commercials.  Following dinner, I am sure there will be more tire kicking and driving.  After dark, we will show a Classic Movie on a large outdoor movie screen complete with real movie popcorn!

Saturday Morning and early afternoon - May 29th - Meet and drive, kick tires, share stories, tell lies, drool, etc., at the Soules' home.

Saturday Evening - Dinner will be at The Terminal Brew House restaurant in downtown Chattanooga.  Those attending dinner at the Brew House will depart from the Soules' no later than 5:00 pm.  We will caravan to the Home Away Hotel in Hixson to allow additional Meet attendees to join in the caravan to the Terminal Brew House in Chattanooga.  We will depart from the Home Away Hotel no later than 5:30 pm.

Saturday Evening Concert - With the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.  They will be performing at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, Saturday evening at 8:00 pm.  This is a rare opportunity to hear and experience, first hand, one of the greatest Swing/Big Bands orchestras of all time.  Space is limited, prepayment and reservations are required. You must be 21 years of age to purchase tickets, and tickets are non-refundable.

Purchase your Glenn Miller tickets here!

Sunday - May 30th - We will depart from the Soules' precisely at 10:00 am for an 85 mile (1.5 hour) road trip to Lynchburg, Tennessee which is the home of the Jack Daniel's Distillery.  We will have lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House.

Sunday Evening Dinner -  Will be at the lake home of John Muller at about 5:00 PM.  John will be offering boat rides for those interested in a bit of sightseeing on the Tennessee River and beautiful Nickajack Lake.

Accommodations - No hotel accommodations have been reserved specifically for this event.   *** The Only HOTEL IN SODDY DAISY is the Hometown Inn.***   Located in beautiful downtown Soddy-Daisy and just 5 miles from the Soules' residence, this hotel would be the closest place for attendees to stay.  The hotel is only a couple of years old.  Take a look at their web site at:  http://www.hometowninnsoddydaisy.com/  Honestly, the owners are not as friendly as they should be, so you should consider the hotels in Hixson.  Call (423) 332-7755 for reservations.

Other good alternatives are: Home Away Extended Stay Hotel in Hixson (423) 643-4663 (I highly recommended the Home Away Hotel), the Holiday Inn in Hixson (423) 877-6464 or the Hampton Inn also in Hixson (423) 877-3100, Tennessee, all three are located on the north side of Chattanooga and are easily accessible from Interstate 75, 24, and Hwy 153. All would provide a good, centrally located base from which to operate.  There are other accommodations readily available in the Hixson, TN, area.  Please do consider making your hotel reservations as early as possible.

For a truly unique hotel alternative, I would suggest the new Delta Queen Hotel located some 23 miles south of the CI&P Meet in downtown Chattanooga.  Contact them at: (423)209-2943 or email: reservations@deltaqueenhotel.com  The commute from the hotel to the meet is almost all freeway (via US 27 north) and only takes about 25 minutes.

All hotel reservations are the responsibility of each individual.

Please read and abide by these few basic rules.

All Meet participants are requested to read and follow the rules of courtesy and agree to the terms of the liability statement at the bottom of this sheet.

Please observe the following rules of etiquette while participating in the Meet:

1. Don't assume the owner wants you to drive his car. If he wants others driving it and if you express enough interest, he will probably offer. However, you should wait to be extended an invitation. This will avoid placing the owner in an uncomfortable position where he has to refuse to let someone drive his car.

2. Please, drive the cars with care. These cars are not muscle cars or modern street rods. They are antiques that the owners have invested a considerable amount of time and money into restoring. Squealing tires and hard accelerations will result in revocation of your driving privileges. Just because you drive your own car flat out, doesn't mean everyone does.

3. These meets are NOT "judged shows" and derogatory comments about attendees' cars are prohibited. Some, if not many, of the Meet participants have driven cars that are either unrestored, original cars, cars in the process of being restored, or daily drivers. Derogatory comments can discourage current, as well as potential participants. We do not want to discourage anyone from attending these Meets! If you can't say something nice, just be quiet.

4. While you will not likely find many "do not touch" signs on the cars at these Meets, some basic rules of etiquette should be observed by all attendees: Wipe your feet before entering vehicle. Don't sit or lean on cars. Watch your belt buckles (Belt buckles and riveted blue jeans are not conducive to paint jobs.) Do not take any food or beverages in vehicles.

Thank you for your cooperation and have an enjoyable Meet!

LIABILITY: By entering this event, I agree to and understand that the Tennessee Valley Region of the Walter P. Chrysler Club and/or the event organizers, the sponsors, hosts, and/or promoters of this event, participating clubs, their agents, employees, or club members, will not be liable or responsible for any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to, damage to vehicles, theft, loss of life, or accidents while traveling to and from the event, as well as during the event. I also understand that failure to follow the rules may result in expulsion from the event.

Please, as most of this event is held at a private residence, pets are not allowed.

Many Thanks
