Republican Taxonomy For
Dummies (i.e., for ripublicans)
The political class ripublicus be stuffed (although I'd prefer
to pound them in with a 16# sledge hammer or a pile driver) into two taxonomicological
political orders:
1. Ripublicus Greedus (c. greedy rich)
2. Ripublicus Idiotae (c. utterly stupid)
Ripublicus Greedus is subdivided into the families FatCatus
and Corporatae. The former obviously includes those that Shrub
actually declared in a public speech to be his base- "the haves and the
want more" There are many, many genera of FatCatus
but one especially detestable one is Hummerus - a genus consisting
of mostly males who are compelled by their inadequacy in the penile department
to drive Hummers. Also included is taxcutae - those who believe
that the poor and middle class should pay more proportionately in taxes
than themselves. A renown species of this genus is noestatetaxus
- those who wish to pass "their" obscene wealth to their spoiled rich brat
children who will most likely squander it on yachts, Hummers, nose candy,
and dumb business deals hatched for the self enrichment of executives of
the family Corporatae. Corporatae consists of genus
that have funded and profited immensely from the Bush regimes' rein- the
vast majority of corporations. The currently glowing example of which
is Halliburton. Hopefully, it will go the way of another member of
the genus, Bush's biggest contributor, Enron.
In the order Ripublicus Idiotae one finds the major families
religious
zealotus,
chickenhawkae, free marketae, and your
run-of-the-mill
rightwing nutus. The formerly major
family fiscal conservatus is seemingly on the brink of extinction.
While they screamed bloody murder the few times Clinton proposed any spending
for social programs, the vast majority have have stood silently by while
the rest of ripublicus have increased the national debt so much
on tax cuts for Ripublicus Greedus and on the chickenhawkae
folly in Iraq that our grand kids will be paying the debt. Of course,
should Kerry get elected and roll back the regimes' obscene tax cuts for
Ripublicus
Greedus, they will come hypocritically roaring back to life.
Then there are the not so missing links (a.k.a. mongrel cross-breeds)
of the Ripublicus class- creatures who straddle the two basic pigeon
holes. The prime/glowing example is Shrub himself. To wit:
-
He's a bonafide religious zealotus - he has given millions of our
tax dollars to fund religious groups and wants to give much, much more.
Then there's his ban on stem cell research, his failing to even censure
a idiotic regime member/Army general's "my god's bigger than your god's"
bullshit.
It's completely unsurprisingly, given Shrub's own prolific abuse of religion
to "rationalize" (please pardon the abuse of the terms in the same
sentence), sell and otherwise foster his goals.
-
He's a despicable chickenhawkae - he was a supporter of the Viet
Nam war yet avoided it by using his father's political connections to get
in the National Guard. Worse yet, he sent over 1,000
(and counting...) soldiers to their deaths in his attack on Iraq- a country
which posed no clear and present danger to us.
-
He's a exceeding stupid but brazen free marketae - he has
adamantly refused to level the NAFTA playing field by adding fair labor
and environmental provisions. Worse still, he's avidly pushing
to extend this bullshit to the rest of the hemisphere. His only brief
experiment with "unfree trade" was acting against steel imports at the
beheast of the steel corporations. He flip-flopped on
that though when the steel using corporations screamed. I guess
they are bigger contributors.
-
He's an astounding example of Ripublicus Idiotae - Just a couple
of examples should suffice. 1) His (well, more like his chickenhawkae
puppeteers...) thinking that attacking Iraq would bring democracy to the
Middle East. 2) Believing that tax cuts for the FatCatus
and Corporatae would stimulate the economy more that rational tax
cuts- for the "little people". In this field, he's managed the seemingly
impossible feat of persuading
a mounting number of fellow Ripublicus Idiotae to attempt
to vote against him in Nov.!
-
He's a both a FatCatus and Corporatae - born with a silver
coke spoon up his nose, he became a multimillionaire in spite of his failed
businesses. Once again, he depended on daddy and his daddy's buds
to bail his miserable ass out of the jambs. Well, that's not
entirely true, he apparently thought up his insider trading deal at Harkin
all by stupid himself. OTOH, it doesn't take a Ken Lay or Bernie
Evers to decide to dump stock if one is an executive of, on the board of
and on the accountiung committe of a corporation which is about to tank.
-
I would overload the web server which hosts this page with examples of
his membership in the rightwing nutus family so, I'll list
only a few of the more obscene examples from one of the many areas Shrub
has run completely amok in: protection (more like rape...) of the
environment.
-
He's opened millions of acres of our wilderness areas and both public
and private wetlands to exploitation by FatCatus and Corporatae
and opened old growth forests for felling. Shrub has said that
Teddy Roosevelt is his hero. As both a proponent and protector of
federal lands and an enemy of the robber barons of his era, I'm
quite sure Teddy is spinning in his grave- at thousands of RPMs no less.
-
He's gutted the feeble protections afforded to mountains and streams by
gutting the regulations on mining via mountain top removal.
Worse yet, he's sold untold millions of acres of our federal lands
for as little as $6 an acre to Corporatae - no doubt causing
Teddy to reach millions of RPMs. Maybe Dick "go fuck yourself" Cheney
and the corporate drafters of the regime's notorious energy plan should
admend it by including harnessing Teddy's energy since he's, now spinning
at billions of RPMs!
-
He's abandoned research into more fuel efficient and less polluting near
term vehicles and instead is throwing billions at the auto and oil corporations
for research on hydrogen vehicles which, due to the immense and very costly
required infrastructure, maybe our grandchildren will be driving.
Adding insult to injury, he's adamantly and repeatedly refused to
increase the federal mileage standards. He managed to top even that
bit of astounding bit stupidity by giving up to $100,000 in tax credits
to Hummerus and buyers of other three ton throw-weight
and larger SUVs.
-
Do I even need to mention their repeated attempts to rape ANWR to increase
our oil supply by mere days at the current consumption rate (i.e. excluding
their above cited lunacy which increases gasoline consumption).
